Death or Bongo?
It's your choice...
A couple of hundred years ago three sailors were washed up on a tropical island. Unfortunately for them the inhabitants were not friendly.
They were captured on the beach and taken to the main village of the tribe. There, they were paraded in front of the king who sat in front of a large gathering of his people.
The king said to the first sailor "You have come to our island un-invited, the punishment for this is Death or Bongo. Make your choice". The terrified sailor did not know what Bongo was but decided that it could not be worse than death. "I'll go for Bongo" He stammered.
The king turned to the crowd and shouted "Bongo!" A huge roar went up from the crowd, the terrified sailor was dragged over to a fallen tree trunk, stripped and bent over it. Five huge guards ran forward, stripped and proceeded to bugger the poor sailor. When the five had finished, the king silenced the cheering crowd and turned to the remaining two sailors.
The king said to the second sailor "You too, have come to our island un-invited, the punishment for this is Death or Bongo. Now make your choice". The terrified sailor now knew what Bongo was but decided that it was not worse than death. "I'll go for Bongo too" He said.
The king turned to the crowd and shouted "Bongo!" A huge roar went up from the crowd, the terrified sailor was dragged over to a fallen tree trunk, stripped and bent over it. Ten huge guards ran forward, stripped and proceeded to bugger the second poor sailor. When the ten had finished, the king silenced the cheering and mocking crowd and turned to the remaining sailor.
The king said "You too, have come to our island un-invited, the punishment for this is Death or Bongo. Now make your choice". The terrified sailor could see a pattern, if he chose Bongo he would be buggered by twenty huge guards. The pain! The humiliation! He decided he would not endure such treatment, death would release him. He looked the king in the eye and hissed "I choose death!" He saw a smile cross the kings lips...
The king turned to the crowd and shouted "Death... By Bongo!"
